“We are muck farmers growing 20 varieties of organic garlic in Cookstown, ON. Our local soil tests were basic with NPK results and the offer to upsell synthetic inputs as soil improvements. We then reached out to Jo at RootShoot Soils a few years back to improve our soil health and garlic yield. Jo is a wealth of knowledge and after each soil test we discuss the numbers, good vs bad in the soil food web. What are the next steps, our organic inputs and cover crop mix to change the numbers in our favour for more beneficial organisms. We are well on our way to having a sustainable farming practice.
